Goos will react to the weirdest thing! I wouldn't necessarily separate them, though. Keep an eye on their activity, and see if they settle again. At least we know it's definitely her!
There's an autocorrect for improper language on the forum, but some of the replacements are questionable.......

Are there animals in her mother's house? Could she be bringing a scent with her that they are reacting to?

I tried yo leave them as long as possible but there was a lot of lunging and circling like before the biting started last time?
She occasionally has a dog xxx

This is a really tough one! Unless you want to go through the rigmarole of separating them every time your stepdaughter visits, they've got to sort themselves out. How much does she visit?

Either every weekend or every second weekend and more in the hols. I'm holding out hope it is just a coincidence, hmm.
The cage us set up so there is a water bottle, a nest, a forage box, wheel and toys on both levels and I just pop a heavy book on the entrance between levels. The run is big and encloses the cage so I seperated them over night and opened the doors to the run and both levels this morning, at the moment they are annoying each other but not in a super vicious way and even ignoring each other a bit now.
I'm not sure what to do to have a permanent resolve, they seem like they are always going to have a very hot and cold relationship? Xxx

Just for a minute, think as an outsider. What EXACTLY changes in the house from the second she arrives. Sounds, smell, does she run? Does your routine change?

Ok.....
Well they are in the front room so although she doesn't interact with them, there will be a new voice, movements, sounds and smells. But nothing that isn't there when ither people visit so it would have to be unique to her and I couldn't say what that is 🤔 xxx

It could be the pitch of her voice as she's only young.

And if she jumps around or runs, they might interpret that as a stampede/danger coming. How many hidey holes have they got?

No running, playing or speaking, got it 😉 xxx It's only a theory! Goos are weirdos, so it could be anything! Mine freaked out the other day at a visitor that they usually love. The difference? He didn't put a pint of Guiness on the floor for them to associate with him.

Yep! The first time Steve visited, they'd been rescued three days, then two months later. They weren't allowed out the first time, but Steve standing with his glass had an impact on Spidey. Since then, he's consistently tried to climb into the glass!

I just had a thought!! For the last 2 weekends thr childs been here, she gas arrived on a thursday morning and spent the day with her dad (I work 12 hours on a thurs), that is the longest day of the week that I'm away from them. When I'm not at work they get extended time in the run, maybe a combination of them having less out time and a different face has riled them up? Xxx

Maybe! It could be just a case of experimenting until you find the right factor....
