I had no trouble at all understanding you. If Squidge is showing her nipples, she may be closer than a month from delivery, even by quite a lot. I have heard that the nipples only pop out very near the end of the pregnancy . . . like one week before, maybe a day or two more, or less.
I'm glad Fudge continues to do better. I hope that by this time, you are well and deep asleep, and will have a very deep sleep all night long.

I suspect that Squidge's pups have a large part to do with Fudge's improvement, and is no doubt why she is cuddled up to them. Although she rejected the sole living pup, I suspect it had to do with her own health crisis more than his. I also suspect that her inability to care for them may have been a cause of depression. I may be putting too much into it, but degus have such an amazing capacity to love their pups and each other, that I do think her loss of pups and health greatly depressed poor Fudge. Being able to cuddle up with Squidge and her pups must be such a great consolation and healing for her. I expect that she will be like a second mom to those little loves.
Congratulations on the successful birth of Squidges pups!!! I know you weren't "mid-wife" for her, lol, but it had to have been weighing on your mind, and must be a huge relief. I'm so glad they are all arrived safe and sound!

So yes the 4 Lil googles have their eyes open now and seem to be doing very well :-) and I'm soo pleased Fudge has improved luckily Squidge is also doing very well after giving birth :-) so good news all round!

I should have the internet on the laptop tomorrow so will get some pics up then, got a video aswell :-)
We sadly lost the smaller one of the litter, we noticed it was a lot smaller and weaker and we had to go to town to pick up some supplies and when we got back we sadly found it had passed away which is sad :-(
But the other 3 googles are doing very well and starting to wonder, bless them :-) will get these pics up first thing tomorrow :-)
We've got a wedding to go to tomorrow afternoon so won't have a chance to in the eve so will get them up in the morning hopefully :-)

It's good to know we have helped. I'm sorry the littlest one didn't make it. That is yet another saddness. It's lovely to hear that the three remaining are doing so well!

Just a lil update, still no internet set up so still no pics up yet, but still taking loads. However one of the babies was attacked last night we found it unforunately wripped apart. Were not sure why, this baby seemed very healthy but maybe mum could sence something was wrong? im not sure? anyone know of any reason why this would be done? I really dont think it was any of the other degus, seeing at how gentle they are with the babies, previously and now. They are brilliant with the babies. So im not sure why this could have happened? any advice is very welcome.
But apart from that we still have 2 healthy lil babies from what I can see.
