Foraging Degu

I was wondering what plants are degu safe? I have a few spare Ikea bins which I thought would be very nice to put (degus safe) soil in and plant some plants in so that the degus can forage, dig and play in the bins during floor time.
I already tested it with hiding some treats in some left over coco's soil (which is animal safe) and they really like digging up the treats. I also have given my degus some (dying) herb plants from the kitchen and they really liked eating the few leaves left over.
I am planning to plant some herbs, but I also wanted to plant some different plants from seeds. I thought about using seeds from the SAB mixerama seed mix, but I am not sure if all the plants from these seeds are degu safe: (Fenugreek seed, radish seed, spinach seed, dill seed, lamb's lettuce seed, fennel seed, basil seed, blue poppy seed, caraway seed, clover seed, coriander seed, alfalfa seed, black cumin seed, lettuce seed, celery seed.) Does any one know if any of these seeds grow uneadible or unhealty plants?
And I would also really like to grow some plants with flowers. And was wondering if any of you know some good plants? Posibly some plant which also grow in chile were degus live in the wild.

I would suggest having a browse through the diet section sticky threads for lists of safe plants and suggestions of what to grow, starting with these deguworld.proboards.com/thread/8772/safe-plants-herbs-leaves-consumption?page=1deguworld.proboards.com/thread/8933/50-natural-nutrition-project?page=1For putting plants in with the degus you will want to bear in mind that if it is a plant they really like they can consume the whole plant in one session, so you either need to grow grass, which can regrow, or you need fast growing plants that you can replace in rotation. I think all the seeds you mention are safe to grow. I would also recommend Shelled Warriors for buying seed mixes for growing. If you do a forum search (for all words) for shelled warriors you will get a few threads relevant to your situation too.

Spider plants a favourite. I don't put the whole plant in the cage, but pull off any babies and let them eat.
