Let's all sing along now 'there were three in the bed and the little one said, roll over, roll over! So they all rolled over and one fell out....'
Yep, I've just watched Ruby roll all the way down the ramp and look very confused at the bottom. She appears to be ok, but obviously I'll monitor to make sure. None of them said no to treats and all appear to be moving normally. But phew! It was a bit of a shock for me, let alone poor Ruby!

Let's hope the shout wasn't to tie a knot in their suspenders! The way I see that partition, they can taunt each other with nernerner without losing toes. And don't forget the brakes

AWESOME!! That is beautifully done, Bouncy! Little wonder there has been a lot of fun around what the degus will do with it. LOL! Really there is enough room in there for at least a double decker!

Absolutely! I have offered to make "tables" for each side of the partitioning, therefore making another storey,.......

I'm going to put a hiding place in each side, basically a small hut, just in case they feel a little exposed when taken outside, Sphene can be a little shy.
I'll get a video of it with the partition and the handle in place as soon as I can, so you can see the full set up.

Well Sphene is off to see Wendy this afternoon to get her gnashers looked at. She's been pawing at her mouth, sucking her teeth and generally eating slower than normal which isn't the wisest thing to do with a foody like Ruby around. So I'm getting her teeth checked.

Just got back from seeing Wendy.
First, the good news, her teeth are perfect.
Now, the bad news, she has a growth on her gum. We're not sure what it is so she's on metacam for two weeks to see if it improves, if not, well, we'll face that hurdle when we come to it.
She had to be sedated for the examination, but was otherwise very well behaved considering she was separated from her sisters and its only the second time she's been to the vet.
On the plus side, she's active, currently ravenously hungry and dosed up on metacam.
Good thoughts and wishes everyone.

Well, that sounds a bit weird! I hope it sorts itself out, I'm definitely sending best thoughts and wishes for it resolving.

Sphene has decided that she loves metacam, but hates being given meds, lol. I think its the catch and contain that she disagrees with, but it is necessary as I'd have the others making a break for it. Her weight is holding at 190g, she lost almost 40g relatively quickly which prompted the visit to Wendy to see if it was her teeth, and her appetite is still very good.
The BDDT is great for weighing her as I just put the scales in, turn them on and let her wander onto them. So easy!

Did the weigh in today, Sphenes front end is 166g, have you ever tried to get a degu to shift its bum onto the scales when she's busy eating sunflower seeds, lol. Eventually got her to move and she's 193g. Then because I'd left just one sunflower seed in her catch-a-goo-tube she very nearly had her meds via rectal administration! Can't fault her appetite though.
Reggie was weighed as well as she missed her turn last week, she's 292g!

Well sort of....
Little Amber is 240g, but Ruby the Foody is 302g! Reggie is just a big soft goo.
I have a photo of Sphene next to Ruby, but its too large to post.

Thanks bouncy! Sphene is the one covered in sand on the first photo, she'd just had her meds and got covered in metacam before deciding to take a bath, lol.
