That's not bad! I was quoted almost that much for my cats, and that was a few years ago.

imgur.com/gallery/XuOUF3xThey are a good company too. This arrived today, sweet touch I thought. So Larry had another check up yesterday after his second op. Staying on pain relief and anti biotics for next 10 days then another check up. It is looking really good! She is just being cautious I think because if it happens again or any sort of hernia occurs it is a very bad situation for Mr Larry. Xx

Good to hear Larry is doing well, I take it there is no sign of any lump now?
Has the vet said 6 weeks from time of op to meeting girls?

All being well he should heal up nice and quick for you now. I wouldn't think his state of healing would be a problem in 3 weeks or so from now regarding intros. (Time is a bit of a blur for me right now, would the original 6 weeks be up around the start of Feb?)

(Time is a bit of a blur for me right now, would the original 6 weeks be up around the start of Feb?) Yeah 6 weeks will be up in about 2 weeks. His wound is looking ok. A bit of stitching is sticking out but I won't touch it as I'm sure it will drop off on it's own (I had the same after surgery so guess it is normal?) No redness. Only thing is at the top of his wound he has what looks like something stuck to it, he had it at his check up but after a gentle tug the vet said she'd leave it because it may he skin. Anyway he now has a matching one at the bottom of his wound. Any thoughts on that? It isn't sore for him, not red and very much attached. Maybe just it scabbing up a bit? Xx

Oh dear. Scratch still very much not interested in seeing Larry. Nibble and Larry still very much communicating through the mesh, I'm sure I heard chattering teeth! Xx

Give it time. Someone on here had an intro that lasted two years! It's all about patience (even if degus aren't lol}

Wow, 2 years!! That is an amazingly long time with a lot of patience, good for them!
On the upside it is lovely to hear Larry make noises because once Barry died he stopped. Even if he is just swearing in goo language haha.

Who is the boss between Nibble and scratch? If Nibble is the boss and she accepts him then the introduction may go alot easier. As Bouncy said there is no time limit on introductions but you can get very lucky and get perfect matches so fingers crossed.

Bumblebee and Dixie were side by side for two years and I every time I tried to get them together something intervened, so they never got it together.
Reggie and Dixie have been side by side for 13 months now, but she was young when I got her (mis-sold as a male) and I'm hoping to get them together for a litter and then divide into two groups.
You just can't second guess degus, lol.

You know I am not sure yet to be honest. They seem like Larry and Barry were (as in they did change periodically after a fight). I thought it was nibble as first because Scratch seemed more skittish and smaller, but since then I saw scratch snap at nibble over the food dish and nibble ran away. Nibble also has a bit out of her ear which her previous human said scratch made!
