My degus goes crazy for buffed rice..they loves it.. If they hear that i touching the bag.. they go nuts.. they will do anything to just to get a bite.. if i have the bag in my hand they will bite it and try to open it and will not let go ..that's how crazy they are for it XD I use buffed rice for traing ONLY..
However i'm unsure of how how many they can have.. since i want to train with them everyday.. I have no idea...on how many they can have each day..

Degus are naturally diabetic, meaning they cannot process carbohydrates, such as grains and rice. HOWEVER many people on here use them as an occasional treat, or a way of getting medicine into them. Try not to give them more than a couple each week. And yes, they'll always want more of what they shouldn't have lol

Do you know any other treats i could use instead?.. I'm kinda after treats that can be feed often... not just 2-3 times a week.

My lot go nuts for Dandelion root.
If you have goos that love forage, they may love fresh as an alternative treat?

Sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds are good treats.

Don't they get fat on sunflower seends? - been told they can't eat that a lot ;/ i haven't tried pumpkin seeds tho..
i have given them Dandelion roots.. but they don't enjoy it has treats. ..they just take them and digg them away XD
i have frozen herbs like drill..but they're not so fan of that..they pref dry food..

Sunflower seeds are something to be controlled, but . . . I used to give anywhere from 5-10 each day to each degu. They were never fat, and very seldom unhealthy.

It helps if you rotate treats so you aren't skewing the diet in particular direction, although with most things you will find they are raising phosphorus and lowering overall calcium which is the opposite of what you want for the diet as a whole. I would say that a couple of grains of rice a day are OK but you would want to make sure that they don't get any grains elsewhere in the diet. You could try puffed millet as that is smaller. Sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds broken into smaller pieces could be used at other times, but they have bad phosphorus and calcium ratios, so you need to make up for that elsewhere. You could try dried veg pieces, or sesame seeds or hemp or milk thistle seeds. Have you tried dried forage? Tree leaves, herbs, grasses, meadow & hedegrow plants, safe garden plants & flowers etc etc?
