Totally craziness!! Have so been in your position when you discover a degu where they shouldn't be! Nothing like the shock of being sat somewhere, enjoying . . . a book (or something else) . . . and suddenly this small shape very confidently trots across your field of vision!! Always made me jump!

Pickle before she shot out across the room lol Fatty Pumba The small squishy boy, seems more confident in the lazybones on the ground strangely. Poppy and Kevo youtu.be/sxM6h5jWT68Bouncy butt youtu.be/UiXn-e9KwCYAn angery conversation lol

Ooooh I forgot!!!!
I’ve held Pickle in front of Pinky and Perky twice now, and there’s no reaction from either parties.
Pinky and Perky both come up and are chill, just trying to sniff her but no aggressiveness at all!!!
How mad?!?!?

Strange!
I just want to mention that I think you are going to need to be super vigilant about ventilation in the vivs with the damp and mold going on, I think it's in the degu room? (I would even hang on to a couple of the aventuras for a while if that would be at all possible)

(I would even hang on to a couple of the aventuras for a while if that would be at all possible) No all aventuras have been sold except for one. So I can’t hang on to them lol. It’s in the far away corner the opposite end to the room to the degus and I’ve been leaving the door open so the air is free flowing from the rest of the house. Gonna put our bedroom dehumidifier in there for a few days. What could be going on with pinky and Perky?

do you have the vivs up on some kind of stand or blocks, so that air can circulate underneath? (and behind, keep them several inches away from the wall.)
Air movement is your best defense against the damp and mold.
We used to have these things called "Mold Zappers". They were basically a round hot plate with a hard plastic cover, perforated with big holes, they ran very warm but comfortable to keep your hand on, and air circulated through them by convection (hot air rises so it would flow out the top holes, and draw new air in the bottom holes) and the warmth was enough to kill mold spores passing through. Used about as much electricity as a large light bulb. No noise.
Won't fix mildew growing on the walls or floor, or dry out the dampness, but it kills the spores floating through the air, making it cleaner for you to breathe. Maybe you can find something like that? No idea if they ever sold in other countries, but maybe....? Took the musty smell out of our basement back when we were running them. (now it is packed to the ceiling with junk, and beyond all hope or help.)

I agree about the mould, it's probably difficult to keep a window open with the weather I expect. Are you thinking of retrying intros with pinky perky & pickle? It could be the physical heirachy, Im guessing that p&p are a little bit higher up than pickle? .. Remember how much aggression I had with my girls towards Boo? Now I have switched them to be above her and Toby they completely ignore them. They are literally beneath their concern lol. Toby poked his head up the Harmione about a week ago and I risked it and held him in my hand up to her.... She warbled away to him! He then was teeth chattering aggressively to her - not that I would ever put Boo through intros again after what happened.

Leaving it on now to try and dry up the wall as the damp is right next to the radiator. They aren’t on anything no but they’re a fair few inches from the wall, and from the side walls. Leaving the glass ajar too to allow for forwards air flow. I’ll have a look for Mold Zappers or equivalent thanks Winic xx I think it got damp etc there cos the wardrobe was pressed up against the wall and no heating etc.. hopefully now the wall can circulate it’ll not get worse.

He then was teeth chattering aggressively to her - not that I would ever put Boo through intros again after what happened. We have the window open in there slightly to help with fresh air anyway. Thinking yeah. No it won’t be the top and bottom thing because nobody has been in Pinky and Perkys cage above them for months. Since I first got Pickle. They lived side by side in the lazybones next to Pinky and Perky and they’d go bat crap crazy at each other. Then in aventuras next to each other they’d go mad too hence I moved Alfie there as a peace keeper between the groups lol! Maybe not Pickle because she’s very dominant and dominates Pumba... Maybe Poppy and Kev because they’re more evenly balanced.

I would get them off the floor, even if it's just two long strips of wood front and back to raise them an inch or two. Air is your friend. Contact between surfaces is not. The wardrobe couldn't have been tight against the wall, could it? Didn't I see skirting boards around the bottom?

They’ll hit the ceiling. Yeah it wasn’t flush flush about 5 inches away from the wall.

Hi all...
Moving on to adding the second levels now in the vivs... can’t seem to find melamine board reasonably priced anywhere! It’s coming up at like £30-£40 for a 2240x1220 board but then delivery is £30-£45!
B&Q don’t sell melamine board so that’s great!

Are you sure that size is correct? I've just checked on woodsheets.com and it's over £100, and that's without delivery.

Some places are coming up at £79-£90 for a board, cheapest I’ve found was £37 but delivery was £50. 2240 x 1220 is a standard full board.
