It's fine deguconvert, my local timber yard sells kiln dried pine dirt cheap. All the pine for the modifications so far cost £10! I can nip along every so often and pickup 2-3 planks.

OK . . . at least it isn't a great loss. Pre-drilling can make a huge difference. I made two home made cages. The first one I pre-drilled everywhere I needed to attach things, but the second I got lazy and regretted it with the first attempt to join two corners. I immediately stopped and started pre-drilling. That wounded corner was a favorite chew site for my boys LOL.

We make any shape or size ledges to order with fixings already fitted.

Bexi87 Thanks!

UPDATESince I know have my own tools and whatnot, I'm thinking of making some more shelving for my goos. I was thinking of also making a metal wheel and a running saucer. The idea is to have 3 shelves that curl around the side of the cage like a stairs on each level with the shelf at the back of the top level cut in half with a small gap and a bridge over it so the wheel can go below it. I'll post a sketch of it later on

UPDATEHere's a rough sketch of my idea: How could I make the bridge? Maybe with 2 pieces of wire and some sticks?

That'll work. You may find it more cost effective to get a pre-made bendy bridge from The Range.

IDEAWhat do you guys think about this? I'm thinking of having the large branch I bought from P@H vertical rather than horizontal and hanging a vine type of plant of it to create a small tree kind of thing.

QUESTION
Have any of you guys tried Tic Tac wheels? I'm looking at getting the 12 inch wheel with a stand without a finish on it so it matches my "natural"/bland colour scheme.

Yes, most of us have Tic Tac wheels and really recommend them. Get the biggest size you can too, depending on your budget etc, they'll really appreciate it

Yes, they'll be fine. The problem with smaller wheels is they have to arch their backs to run in them. Bigger wheels allow them to run in a normal posture. If you can, get the deeper one - it means you can run up to three abreast! The only thing they'll argue over is the direction!

Does the 16 inch wheel come with a stand (I can't find it listed on the website)?
