Hi everyone! My name is Jodie and I've just signed up to this forum, as I've just got 3 baby Degus! I've heard they can be little devils and very hard to tame, could anyone give me any tips on how to tame the lil munchkins!! Thanks in advance ..xX

Welcome Jodie, hope you are enjoying your new degus. They aren't necessarily hard to tame, you just don't always get the result you might have been hoping for, even if they become very tame, they usually hate being stroked or held. The best thing for taming is to try lots of different treats until you find something they can't resist, have a look at the nutrition charts for ideas deguworld.proboards.com/thread/15602/vegetable-seed-nut-nutrition-charts or there are quite a few threads on favourite treats around.

Hi again...
Well, we only got them on Saturday and we've got some oats today, placing our hand open inside the cage whilst holding the oats and 2 out of the 3 came over sniffing and even took a few pieces out of my hand! Seems good progress for only a couple of days :-). I bought them from someone - think he'd had a litter by accident!
