We are stuck with 'Stories from around the web' as it's part of the advertising thing now. The only way to get rid of it is to pay to go ad-free.

Well . . . then I guess we get stories. I don't think my husband would be too impressed to pay out for that, especially since he feels I spend too much time here anyhow. I don't think I would ask Sunshinemeg to do it either. So . . . I guess I'll just have to develop a personal blind spot when I scroll that far down.

Thanks for making the window wider!! At least for me it is better now. But, what happened at the same time is that the font of the forum headings is huge!!!! Of course I could make it all smaller, but the problem really is: when I reduce the size of the heading, then everything is else is almost impossible to read. Am I the only one with this problem? logged off: logged in: I also checked this spell checking thing in firefox. It is activated, always has been, but nevertheless it never shows anything wrong, neither in German nor in English (I also included an English dictionary). This is really weird. But okay, then from now on I have to rely on my own spelling. Sorry, if anything is wrong, I can only do my best.

The heading font is a separate thing. I thought the headings needed to be bigger, but l haven't applied it to all the skins yet. Are the big headings a bit too big now? I'm grateful for any feedback

I like big. The bigger, the better. But then, I'm not typical.
However, I find every time I come on the board, it is looking less strange. Getting used to it, I guess. Tho for the text size, I had to go back to bright blue and purple and pink to make things show up better. But it is bright and cheery now.

@ maravilla maybe you can get an 'add-on' spell checker to work better? Not that there is anything wrong with your English at all I've redone the homepage fonts and I think I've applied them to every skin now. Does it look sensible? (nb the fonts can be different sizes in different browsers as they sometimes override the settings) Winic, once the dust settles I can custom make you a skin if it would help?

I've toned down the bright purple and pink on the default skin setting for now, as it seemed extra extra bright with the new forum version. We will be working more on the forum skin options soon as well. If anyone wants to switch back to the original colours they can do this in their profile settings, the original skin is confusingly called 'Default', the new default is called 'adjusted original'.

OK I'm finding my way round better now. Another pro boards site I use has a Report to Mod button next to every post incase anyone finds anything weird or offensive etc. I assume as this is a reasonably sensible place with nice people it may not be neccessary but occassionaly the odd weird spammer turns up.
OMG there is a LIKE button?!

Great job, molette! This site looks better every time I visit it!! This "report to mod" button is definitely useful as it cannot be used only to report unwanted posts but also posts which need to be shifted to the correct board etc.

There is a report post button. At the top right hand corner of each post, the cog with the arrow drop down has a report post option

I've been editing the skin I made on the test forum a bit today and I really don't know how you've managed to edit them all in such a short space of time molette! There are so many different options and half of them seem to have no function!

I've been using the easy theme creator for the colours, clicking on the bar that says 'customize theme colours', but it is slightly confusing, as the names don't seem to be all exactly the same as before. For the font and other things you need the medium colours & styles thing visual editor. Here's the crucial bit - it only shows options for things visible in the preview pane at the bottom (not that it reliably previews!) If it's not visible on that page the options are greyed out. You can just navigate from the preview view by clicking on it like it's an active page. Does that help at all? I found all the options completely bewildering at first too!
