You're so calm and level headed, Savvy Hope it doesn't bother him too much until Tuesday. Hope he doesn't need the cone, but if he does I think it's possible to put some extra sticking plaster type tape on the neck end so it's not so aggravating on the skin.

Not sure how calm I'll be come Tuesday Moletteuk, but trying to stay positive.
It looks nice and dry this morning and it hasn't stopped him running around like a duracell bunny on prozac, lol. He's drinking a little more than usual, but I'd expect that with antibiotics.
I'll tape the cone so it's ready for use.

Well Bumblebee goes in tomorrow to have his lump removed. I'm getting nervous now, I just hope he's going to be OK. I'd hate to lose either of them.
He's still racing around and eating well, but he's also still biting at the lump so I know it does need to be removed. It's looking a lot better, but we'll see what they say tomorrow.

Currently sat in the vets while Bumblebee has his op. They've sat me down with a coffee and a couple of biccies while I wait as if everything goes OK he should be home by 1pm and it's a long way here and back.
Dixie's op has been cancelled as the issue with his gums seems to have resolved.

He's out of surgery and coming around from the anaesthetic. Op went well, solid lump removed. He can hopefully come home in an hour.

Great news! Get well soon, Bumblebee! Are you going to wait at the vets for the hour?

Yep, I've been here since just after 9, it takes over half an hour to get home and back here by taxi and costs about £20 each way, so they've let me stay here.

OK we're back home and he hates being confined to one level! He has already tried to climb the bars, not interested in the nice warm snugglesafe at all is running around like a duracell bunny on prozac again.
Not sure what I'm going to do with the boy, lol!

Yep that rings a bell lol. It’s a concern, but also a relief when they’re so active after an op!

It was about an inch (2cm) at its longest point, it's resting on fine gauze. The hairs sticking out of it are normal goo hairs where they've shaved it. You can see part of the lump in the whole at the top where he'd been chewing at it.

He still won't let me get a good look at it. I've spotted a little pinkish wet patch on his bedding which could be wee or could be discharge. He's still active enough, although I can see his leg twitch every so often so I think it's causing him a little discomfort. I have to admit though that it's funny watching him trying to scratch his ear with the effected leg.
He's on baytril and loxicom for the next three days so hopefully that will stop anything and his first dose is tomorrow morning. He's eating well and has had one long drink (I'm not sure he had one before the vets this morning)
I've been advised to use puppy training pads instead of woodshavings until he's a bit better so I have those on order for delivery tomorrow.
On everything else, I'm more or less flying blind. I've nursed post operative dogs, cats and various wildlife, but never rodents. Advice would be appreciated.

Ewww! That is quite the lump . . . though it kind of looks like it could get up and walk on it's own. SHUDDER!
Glad he is home and doing well!
