Gonna just have to like it and lump it.
Gonna speak to Cal when he's home, see when I should book consultation for.. maybe tomorrow evening as mom could drop me.
Then I'll just have to pay whatever his treatment will cost, maybe open an overdraft if it eats away at all my money.

It sucks when a problem like this comes up and your finances are so low. I suppose an overdraft is the best option as its in your account straight away. Sending best wishes for you and Kev, hope its straight forward and cheaper than expected x

Sorry to hear about Kev. Hope the vets can see what the problem is.
Is there any chance you could cancel the order on the Aventura to free up some cash? You should be able to cancel until they despatch. ...edit - just seen the aventura has already arrived.

When Poppy ate two weeks money this month, I took out a new credit card to cover us. The levels we go to for degus 😂😂 Anyone else's parents think you're nuts for the amount we spend or is it just mine? They nearly choked at the price of the CT scan when they found out

Yeah, my parents thought I was crazy spending £65 to neuter Kev lol!!! If only they knew 😂
I've gotta somehow explain to mom tomorrow when she comes round how I managed to afford an Aventura... time to make up some elaborate lie about someone on the forum from close by, like Dudley way had one for sale for £80.. that's why the trays are knocked about etc 😇 better to buy that now, than spend £165 later *cough* and also it gets Pickle and Pumba out of the living room..
I told her about Kev needing vets and it's gonna probably cost a few hundred and she just text me saying "livid" 😂

Good luck at the vets! And I hope he stops eating the box, Watson and Sherlock do the same thing, including the "you're telling ME off?!" glare 😂

Goodluck! I just booked in at the vets for Friday, they aren't exotic vets though so hope it won't be a waste of money and time. The exotic vet has no appointments when I can actually go until a week away. If it was an emergency I'd sack off work but can't really do that for my prob. Mine go insane trying to chew their way out of the carrier too, I better check it to make sure there are no holes actually!

rambam mine aren't exotic vets either! They're fab!!! Thanks for the wishes. I walked half way and decided it was too hot, taxi the rest. Walked home and I nearly died. He's back home, Gavin was brill and only charged me £18 for the consultation instead of £30! He said his front teeth look good, held him on his back and felt his cheeks and jaws - no swellings. Tried to see in with a scope, saw his front molars but couldn't see the back. Said they often get stuff stuck in their mouth. So tomorrow he's going at 9am. They're gonna sedate him, look in his mouth, remove anything if something is stuck, and if there's one or two small spurrs they will remove them. That will be only £30!! Then if it's something worse.. like severe spurrs or the molars being all different heights or something he will have to go next Tuesday when Gav is back and we will go from there... 🙈 just pray it's nothing bad. He said he sees a fair few degus, all from P@H surprise surprise, he rolled his eyes. All have dental problems. So he will be in most of the day tomorrow, do I take Poppy? They will be in the small carrier together though.. best leave her at home? X Mines getting close to getting holes re carrier lol. Noticed today. Kev was soooo nosey walking home, peeping out the whole time.

I took Nyota to all of Zoe's appointments. I figured it was a comfort thing (reduces the stress of being separated from the pack) and they do look after each other. So if you can catch both of them in time for the appointment, I'd take both. I feel much better knowing that they're together when one has to go through something stressful. Just make sure the vet can tell them apart
