Can anyone in the UK recommend a Degu friendly Tomato Paste? I have read on here about some Degus liking the paste but don't want to go buying one from a supermarket due to sugar content.........any particular brand or sort i could try?

Gunna get my Degu's some tomato paste, so it's in a little can and not in the metal tubes? Watch I will get it for them and they will put their noses up to it, really fussy my Degu's are lol ;D

Umm . . . well . . . in North American it tends to be in small tin cans, but I'm not so sure about the UK. Seems to me I read a thread where the postee had found it in a tube. However I don't recall a brand name or anything. It could have been organic?

I got Trattoria Verdia Tomato Puree from Tesco, it's in a metal tube. There's other brands (Heinz) and some of those sell tomato puree in glass jars.

It can come in tubes too. We were using some stuff from Asda but I can't remember the name. It's all about looking at the labels, as already mentioned. Although my lot hate it. The rats love it but it gives them reddish poops. :S

tesco make their own organic tomato puree - it's in a metal tube. All mine eat it. I just put a good squirt on their branches so they have to climb for it. Have patience though, when I first gave it to mine they were very suspiscous of it but it got eaten during the night. Now I have to make lots of little squirts along the branches so they don't squabble over it.
