Hi everyone, Just thought I would ask for a second opinion from everyone... I have brought from my local sainsburys some dandelion salad which it says is good for many animals INCLUDING Degus! It has in it: Dandelion, birch leaves, oat flakes, wheat flakes, beetroot, pee flakes, parley (hmm wonder if this is parsley?!) carrot, marigold blossoms, wheat, popped wheat, maize flakes, popped maize, alfalfa, nettle, coneflower, ribwort, rose petals and peppermint As far as I know all this would be fine but jst thought I would ask for a second opinion. For anyone who wants it I think it was just over £3 for a 200g bag.

Hi,
well it contains much of grains/peas and popped stuff. To declare this as salad seems some kind of misleading. At least me, I would expect a less energy rich food.
But there are also interesting herbs in it... I think it is not so bad. It is of course better than nuggets. Personally I'd prefer a true herbal mixture, that I can combine with bird seeds.

It's ok for degus A bit of a rip off considering you can get better mixtures for less money, but I've used it before and they love it.... so... lol

Ive only used a little of it more as a treat as the girls really started squabbling over it but it wasnt anything bad. I think i will just give them a little each day more as a treat than anything else :-) x
