Not sure whether this should go under nutrition or behaviour So, those little wooden daizy chains or football chains? How do you your degus eat theirs? Millie likes to get rid of the round flat ones first and then make the disk shape ones spin as fast as she can. Occasionally she'll do lots of side punches. And if Molly tries to come and have a chew, oh dear, that's world war 3. ;D

I got mine the Christmas version, looks very festive still! They've hardly nibbled it. They all love wooden things but for some reason the garlands don't appeal. I wish they would play with it, sounds like yours have loads of fun!

Ah our household is new to this - only got one the other week. Started off in Chilli and Peppers cage - not even a sniff. Moved to the rogue group Marlingford marauders and OMG its a case of start at the bottom and work your way up ! or drag it up into the hammock and duel attack it - or if mum and dad are heavens forbid sitting down enjoying themselves then swing it from the hammock onto the door - joy behold but the boys really love it bless them

AH HAAAAA!!! OK . . . this really helps cause I was imagining that there was a common, yet secretive, practice of going out into the garden, picking daisies, building a chain out of them, and rather than wearing them in your hair, decorating your goos or their cages with them. Then I was imagining the "Marlingford Marauders" "swinging" them in the cage . . . and all this time I've been wondering why on EARTH they weren't all just tucking in and eating them into oblivion! This clears A LOT up for me. LOL!

Mine loved those chains, so much so that I had to buy a bunch of blocks to make my own. Cinammon would grab one with her left paw to steady herself, and with the right paw she would make the right block spin as fast as she could. In between spinning they would chew them to bits. I remember I bought a daisy chain on the Friday and by the Sunday it was destroyed!

Hmmm, mine have nibbled not extensively. It seems if we buy something from a shop that we'd hope would last they destroy it. If we buy them something to destroy, they steadfast ignore it.

Now explain this, the shop didn't have daizys so i got the same one but instead of flowers it has footballs and rugby balls. The've hardly touched them. As if to say "we're girls, we like flowers!"
