Molly has been very vocal for 2 days. Everytime she sees one of us she starts making little yelping sounds like on the video below. Do you think they are happy sounds or worried one? She is not held tight at all on the video lke it may look and she does it even if you don't rub nose with her ;D Hope you can see the vid: s147.photobucket.com/albums/r281/bijett/?action=view¤t=045-1.mp4

She doesn't make these noises at other times? I was wondering if it is related to her breathing, but if it is, she would be making those sounds all the time. If it is only when she sees you, perhaps it is her greeting you. They do sound like happy sounds.

No, she normally is never that vocal for that long. There's the odd bickering with her sister or the occasional alarm noise. But this weekend, she was making those noises mostly when we were around or taking her out.

I don't know what to make of it, really. I think I would just keep an eye on her, maybe weigh her and do so every couple of days to make sure she isn't losing weight, make sure you see her doing her normal things, eating well etc, and then enjoy the sounds. She isn't stressed or upset . . . the sounds are happy and I think they are pleasing to hear . . . so have fun interacting with her!! Maybe give some treats and such, perhaps she has decided that she really likes to be with you.

it sounds a bit like the conversationy noises mine make when they are all grooming each other, like when they have just sat down together, jostling for position, and then having a wash and brush up together before a nap. Maybe she's telling you about her day and saying rub to the left a bit?
I wouldn't rule out that she is trying to convey something specific though, just keep an eye out and look for any other cues.

You're right, Moletteuk!! I was reading your post, and in the background are my four, all having a confab and a happy groom. Lots of the same sound as is featured in the video. It's happy noise, the kind they use with their best buds and bonded mates. I think she is telling you how special you are to her!!! LUCKY YOU!!!
