Berlin Trip- any good Goo shops?

Hi guys, i'm off to Berlin for a week in February to celebrate my 30Th birthday. OMG I'm soon to be not a 20 something year old.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone knows of any good stores that sell Degu stuff, either within Berlin or outside if not to far a distance.

Fred you seem to know a lot of the German Degu side of things, so anything you can help me with would be appreciated. Name's of Pet stores that may stock Degu stuff, like Wheels, Food, Toys..

Well, mhhh.... actually I am from Berlin and still living here ;D. Some pet stores sell food, that is even suitable for degus, but most of my things, I am buying online as there is a bigger range of good stuff. Contact me, if you like, maybe we can arrange something.

Being 30 is not a drama... believe me, there are worse things than being 30+.

That would be nice. Me and my wife Chloe are very much looking forward to visiting Berlin. So much History I want to see. I hope I can get some wheels while I'm there. I heard German pet shops have decent wheels.

Actually, it's not a question of loving the city or not... I was born here and am still living here.

Well, it's a question what you call decent wheels. I wouldn't buy any of them. They are either too loud, too small or made of too soft wood... Or all of it together.

so your saying you don't like Berlin since it's not a question of liking or hating it because you live there.

I grew up in Newcastle in England, Yes I like it.

Well guess I won't be visiting any Pet stores in Berlin, thanks for letting me know how bad they are.

You have to visit the Tierpark Berlin (one of the two zoos of berlin) .

I am somewhat ambivalent about this city. Let's say it like this: winter is not the best time to visit Berlin as here are so many parks and green areas which cannot be enjoyed very well at this time of the year. Nevertheless there are many interesting things to visit in Berlin, and also Potsdam with its castles etc. is worth to visit it.

The problem of petshops is that they sell the normal commercial stuff... which often isn't suitable for our pets. Maybe you have to see one or two to judge them and see what I mean. I didn't want to sound too negative, but often it's just too sad to see the animals there and the things they sell. The best things for degus you can only buy on Internet.
