Heeey!
So I've ordered a scatter mix for rat rations for my ratties and I wanted everyone's opinion on how often this could be used for degu's as there is a lot of seeds which I know could be fatty so I know they can't have a large quantity. I stupidly added guinea pig food as well as nuggets as part of the everyday food, becuase I read it gave degu's more variety. I am slowly taking this out of the diet but I was thinking whether guinea pig food would be suitable as scatter food?
This is the rat rations mix
A complete, low sunflower mix of around 30 ingredients including pumpkin, papaya, carrots, flaked peas, raisins, rosehips, milk thistle, mountain ash (rowan) berries, banana, millet grains, safflower and buckwheat.
Typical analysis
Protein 12.1% Fat 12.3% Ash 2.4% Fiber 12.8% Vitamin A 300iu/kg Vitamin D3 51iu/kg Vitamin E .75ie/kg Vitamin C 215mg/kg Copper 3.9mg/kg

Protein content is good, fat content not too bad, but I would be worried about the sugar. Does it state how much sugar is in it? Could you pick out banana, papaya and raisins and give them to your ratties? Even then, I wouldn't give it more than occasionally.

Sorry I forgot to reply thanks for that I think I might try and design a more degu friendly version. I think scatter food is great it certainly keeps my rats occupied and I have used seeds for my goos and its great to see the natural behaviour.
