Hiya, My degu, Skittles, has been biting Snickers' tail for a few days. The tail is still OK. And I am writing here just because I want to know if it's nothing bad. She doesn't bite it hard, she just nibbles it. Is she gonna stop one day? Oh, her is some information about the degus:
Skittles: Born: 14th September 2011 (MY BIRTHDAY LOL!) Gender: Female
Snickers: Born: 5th November 2011 Gender: Female

It's a completely normal behavior, and one that you see a lot of in younger degus. I think this is in part because the parents of the pups will use the tail to get the attention of the pup, or to quickly move the pup out of a location they don't want it in. Degus groom tails as much as they groom the rest of their bodies, so nibbling on their mates tail is pretty common. It is nothing to worry about.
