Since one of their plastic wheels broke and they dont suppose to have plastic in the cage anyway, I'm looking for a silent metal wheel in the shape of the flying saucer - they love it that way. Wooden wheel is not an option, since I can't clean it up and I'd like to have a lasting wheel for them. Once I have bought them a wooden one. What a mess! Anyone seen something like that in the shops that deliver international? Please and thank you.

Thank you for your advice. I didn't get any answer from them, so still searching. I had to get them plastic one again. I hope to find a solid one before they break it again.

Do you have access to IKEA? I am using their wooden revolving plate SNUDDA and it works a treat. It's quite hard wood and even though they nibble at the edges, I would expect it to last at least 6 months which isn't bad at a cost of £6. If you can get hold of one, it should be worth a try.

I made one of those, with the SNUDDA and a sort of knitted palm leaf pad. Then I made a little stand for it, and it's working perfectly. Jadzia loves it! I have some photos and videos, will try and get time to upload them soon

Don't they slip off the lazy susan as it's not curved?

Yes they would slip off the naked lazy susan and it is necessary to modify it so that they have sufficient grip. I had what I presume is what Stormsong described as sort of knitted palm leaf pad, but my girls have started to totally rip it to pieces. I have now roughed up (not sure that's the right phrase) the surface and it works splendidly.

I have always had wire-mesh wheels, but am intrigued by the flying saucers. However, my goos most definitely pee as they run. We have had to put a plastic shield up on the outside of the cage bars around the wheel. So I'm guessing that a peeing goo on a flying saucer would just be a pee-flinging disaster?

Hey! I finally got an answer and they do deliver to Slovenia. As soon as they saw my mail they added it. Very flexible. So now they will have metal saucers. More expensive, but if I think about how many plastic ones they would break, they're not expensive at all.
