Hi deguconvert has done a brilliant link for Ri and breathing etc - just wondered apart from applying said bitten area (on goo's) with distilled water if there is anything else to be used - Lucky has a chunk out of his arm that is not bleeding but looks very sore - it has been bathed in distilled water from kettle ?? Any suggestions would be great

It's best to use a saline solution as it helps seal the wound and is a natural antiseptic.
For a saline solution boil a cup of water (distilled is better) with a quarter teaspoon of cooking salt. Don't use table salt as that has added silica so that it runs smoothly through your salt shaker.
Let the solution cool before you use it. Never re-use the same solution as when you dip the cotton wool/fingers/etc into the solution you're introducing bacteria which will grow in the solution.
If you need to use the solution more than once it's probably best to make up a litre, seal it and keep it in the fridge. Then just take out whatever amount you need and discard that amount once you're done.

I think an antibacterial salve/ointment would be OK to dab on it as well. Keep an eye on it. If you see it beginning to redden or swell, you should probably consult your vet as he may need some oral antibiotic to treat it.
