Recently my degu "princess" has double in size compared to "Rhyno" who is a month older and was bigger than her. Now both goo's have made a massive nest and they hardly ever come out, and have become extremely quiet. Is this an indication of pregnancy? As rhyno normal runs around and never stops but lately all is calm and they never used to make nests and this one is huge

You can run your finger on the side/under her chest and tummy, if she's about to pop u should feel very tiny nipples. It's located on kind of line between front and hind leg on both sides. Degus are fertile right after giving birth (for about 48 hours) so male should be separated.

Brilliant thank you. I know about the separation. Its just she got so big over last week and now nesting, which is not really like her, but i will defiantly check for the nipples!

aI went through only 2 pregnancies so don't have that much experience but i would say that if u have noticed the weight gain only recently, she could still have 2-5 weeks to go. Nipples appear about 1-2 weeks before birth. Do u know how much she weights?
