I'm so excited!!! A friend of my partner is down sizing her rat cage due to moving to a smaller house. So my lucky boys are getting a Ferplast indoor parrot avery which is 5ft x 4ft!!! That's massive compared to what they are living in at the moment. Apparantly its worth £500 brand new but I'm getting it for £100 inclueding delivery!!! All I need to do is add some shelves and make it all homely for them If I add some mesh I can split the cage in two and start doing the introduction process again. (This cage is for Rocco and Peco, two pups I bought in March with the intention of introducing them to my lonely Degu Leo. The introductions didn't go to plan so I've gone back to stage one. The pups have been living in the spare cage which wasn't big enough for them but it was never going to be a permanent solution.)

WOW!!! That sounds brilliant! Do you have pictures of it? It would be cool to see, even before you have it set up. What kind of shelving etc. do you plan to put in there? Are you going to put in another 2 complete levels, above the base level?

Here is a picture of one I found on gumtree; is01.thegumtree.com/image/extrabig/77070457.jpgThe one I was showed on facebook doesn't show the whole thing. I think I might get away with putting another three complete levels in it but I'll have to take a closer look at it before I can judge that. And I would place the levels in a zig-zag pattern so there would be no way they could fall too far. If I make large levels I could glue strips of wood to the edges to I can cover the levels in sawdust.
