I'm currently in the process of redesigning my WHOLE degu cage so my boys have much, much more running space. I plan to attach atleast one or (hopefully) two full levels rather than the smaller shelves I have now. I am now looking for some wood to use, and I need some help from those who have built their own cages. I plan on using MDF and will be lined with Kiln dried pine as I will either create wholes for them to jump through or a ramp for them to walk across and to the next level. What store/site is best to buy the MDF and Pine from?

I buy all my wood from local timber shops. Most will cut it to the exact size you want too. Just call around for some prices per M2 (square metre)

I got my MDF the other day from Homebase. They cut all the sizes out of one sheet for me. The MDF cost £33 and they was kind enough not to charge for the extra cuts.
I then bought some lengths of kild dried timber from B & Q. 8 x 1.8m lengths for £8.
