They are all absolutely gorgeous of course, LOL The three girls from Dorothy's litter are now 5 weeks old and two are ready to go to a new home - one is staying with us. The three boys that Nancy had are almost 2 weeks old and getting really active, leaping about the cage. The four girls that Billie had are starting to explore a bit more too now - it's quite time consuming making sure everyone gets time and attention - it's a good job my boys are on school holidays I will try and get a picture of them all together later. If you are interested in any of the babies let me know - I have a possible home for two of the boys but nothing else sorted yet. If anyone would be interested in adopting Norman (daddy, aged around 9 months) with one of the baby boys I would consider letting him go to the right home rather than put him through being neutered so he can live with the girls. He is a very sweet goo and has been amazing with all the babies - he's now living with the two younger litters and their mums and is doing his share of the baby care

Yay, another update. I was wondering how they were getting on.
I must admit I am tempted with the girls, depends on if you want them to go as all four or as a pair. I would be introducing them to my two, as long as all goes well.

The older girls all have homes now - Twinkle is staying and Crumble and Custard are going to live with lalalucy and her lonely goo Damo on Sunday. The younger girls (only 8 days old at the moment) don't have homes - I may keep one or two - I will either re-home them as a two, three or four and keep none, one or two. I have to keep in mind that Dorothy will probably have another litter in early October.
Two of the boys have a possible home and I'm thinking I will probably keep Norman and the other boy who my eldest son's girlfriend likes and has named Charlie. I was considering letting Norman go but I don't think I can, LOL.
If you want to come and meet them just let me know.

That might be a good idea. Also if you want to come and see how mine are living. Just so you know where your girls may be going and what accomodation they will have, etc. k
I do want to get more girls for my two as sometimes I think they need the extra company, plus I (the owner!) would love more degus. I've been on the lookout for a single female so that I could take her in and introduce her to my two. However two instead of one is just as good. Plus if they're still babies it will be easier on the introductions.
Edit: Oh, roughly whereabouts do you live? Don't give me your full address as it's not good to do that for all to see, however a rough idea would be good to know how far the travel is. I currently live in Wolston, a town between Coventry and Rugby.

You know I'd have any of the boys off you in a heartbeat! Can drive to you too as you're not too far from me. I have a probable home for the two boys I'm not planning to keep but if that falls through I'll let you know Dorothy may well have some boys if she is pregnant again - I'm hopeful she isn't but realistic enough to know that she probably is...

How can Dorothy be pregnant again? Ah, is it cause you didn't notice that she had the pups so Norman may have impregnated her post-partum?

That's it exactly - I had no idea we had a boy until one of dorothy's babies came strolling out of the nest a few days after birth. I am assuming she is pregnant again but not letting her near Norman again now until I'm sure!

Norman must be one smug male degu right now! I'm sure I saw him strutting around the cage wearing pants with a big S on the front recently
