EDIT* She's birthing now ;D Billie spent most of this morning nesting and has spent a lot of this afternoon in the nest box, she hasn't had them yet but I'm hoping she's about to

I woke up this morning to a slim and happy Billie and a small pile of pups - I was expecting a pretty big litter from her but it looks like it's around 4 or so but I haven't looked too closely yet She was really pleased to see me this morning and when I opened the cage door to stroke her she ran up my front onto my shoulder She seems to be really happy this morning and is pretty relaxed too which is good I'll try and get some pictures of them later .

OMG, fuzzymum, what a releif, i was only talking about poor billie yesterday with my hubby ;D i bet she feels so much better now, bless her! have you managed to do a head count yet? is billie still sharing the cage with nancy and her pups? im guessing this is a good idea as they will both help with the feeding. congratulations fuzzy ;D
oh and a bit off topic, what did you do with the wheel you brought, did you apply vaseline?

It is a relief - it felt like she'd been pregnant forever! I can't believe after seeing the size she got to that she only had four pups! I did try vaseline on the wheel and it's much better. I'm now working out who to put where in the short term and who will be able to stay and who will need to be adopted out.
