Here I am patiently impatiently waiting for Billie to have her babies and this morning Nancy has had three pups!!!
Nancy came out to see me and looks really slim, her bits are a bit swollen too so I'm confident they're hers rather than Billie's

Here's a not very clear picture of one of Nancy's babies I snuck a quick picture when Nancy came out for a sunflower seed earlier I can still see kicks on Billie's sides so she is definitely still pregnant

I put my hand near the nest and Nancy didn't seem to mind so I stroked a baby and she just watched. I briefly picked them up and got a quick picture. Here they are, a few hours old:

That's good to know that she'll be happy to let me handle them - she leaps on me when I open the cage so she definitely trusts me I do have quite a bit of the cage covered anyway - I have boards covering a lot of the bars to lessen the chances of escapees.

This morning Nancy was standing over the babies feeding them and using Billie's back end as a head rest - so cute. STILL no sign of Billie's babies arriving - her belly looked like it was full of angry eels at one point this morning!

If it gets much longer you may want to consult a vet. Hopefully she'll have her babies soon.

If it gets much longer you may want to consult a vet. Hopefully she'll have her babies soon. That has crossed my mind, she's still active, eating and happy and I'm seeing the babies move regularly so I'm not too concerned so far but if she still hasn't had them in a few days I will take her to see the vet for a check up.
