well as youre all aware, im sure, we introduced willow to chocs about a week and half ago, they make the most perfect couple so far ;D anyway, when we first introduced them there was lots and lots of humping going on and a couple of days later chocs had a crazy day and barked continuously for a massive 11 hours. since then ive seen no humping whatsoever and ive read somewhere that once the male impregnates the female they stop the humping?! do you think that willow could be already pregnant? TBH im a little worried as she is too young to become a mother, if she is, do you think she will be ok?

Hmmmm . . . I don't know what to think, Nuttz. Many times there have been reports very young females giving birth unexpectedly, often the result of being impregnated by their father. As well as I can remember, none of those resulted in fatalities. Still, there isn't a guarantee of anything . . . so . . . hard to say.

hmmm.. by what you are both saying (DC and smux) is that my suspicions is correct and willow could be preggers, now im not totally unhappy about this as this is the result i wanted but i honestly didnt want it to happen this quickly, for willows sake, bless her!! i did log the date "of the happening...lol" in the calender, it was monday 11th july so if i am correct, this would make her due date roughly the 11th october, right? i do however have a problem with giving her treats, she is the most timid little thing and wont come to me for a treat so when i do offer a treat i tend to give one to chocs and lob hers in the cage so when she feels comfortable she can come and get it when she wants, id fear that if i started uping her treats then its likely that it wouldnt do chocs any favours, he is a sucker for treats and monkey nuts are his absolute favourite of them all ;D on a good note, i dont think willow looks all that small anymore, she seems to have taken on a huge growth spurt so i am hoping that if she "is", then there wont be any complications, fingers crossed!!! thank you both for replying, im sure i will need more of your help in the coming couple of months x

i didnt mean a growth spurt due to pregnancy, just a spurt of growth in general, when we first got her she seemed so tiny and petite but already she seems to have grown, she is still considerably smaller than chocs but she does seem to have almost doubled her size, its like a fish, as soon as she went into a larger cage she seemed to have grown in size...lol weve had her two weeks today so i guess for a baby its normal for them to have sudden growth spurts, well all of my "human" babies did this, unfortunately, two of them are continuing to do so...im off out later to buy them more blinking trainers as theyve already grown out of the ones that i only brought them 6 weeks ago lol i shall try what you suggest about offering treats, the main problem i have is, if i have the cage door open too long chocs thinks its a great idea to leap out of the cage, i really cant chance that in our house due to too many threats, ie...dogs and lots of openings. i could however try to entice chocs to the bottom of the cage (with a treat) then block the opening with a rock leaving only willow up top......hmm, yep, that seems like the best idea, i shall try that in a second, im sure this will take quite a while as like i said, she is so scared of me..lol im guessing this will take me several days, possible weeks but it will be so worth it! thanks smux
