I have tried and failed to get my two chin brothers liking each other after one decided he wouldn't tolerate the other last year.
That started when I got female degus - Monkey seemed to think that they were his and his brother should be kept away, so he beat all hell out of him. Since then I no longer have the girls - I had hoped that not having them would settle things again but it hasn't worked.
Neither boy is getting the company they need now so with a heavy heart I have decided it's best to rehome Monkey - then I can find Spank a new friend and give them a massive cage together.
Monkey is around 2.5yrs old (born approx. september 2008), he's a beige neutered male (neutered in August last year, again with the hope of settling things but no joy!).
He needs company - ideally with a chin who would stand up to him. Spank never has, he's just run away or taken the abuse from Monkey and I believe if another chin would let him know it's not acceptable, he would be much better.
Prospective owners would need to live nearby or be able to travel - I can go a max of 15 miles away but my car is in need of repair at the moment so I daren't risk it any further!

Sorry, forgot to say about peopleness! He is people-friendly - not handled as much as he should be I'll admit, but he will race to the cage door at a 'kissing' type noise for a treat He's not a big chin - quite skinny but healthy (been checked out, he's healthy and eats well). He was always lovely to the goo girls, friendly and groomed them, it's just his brother he doesn't like. nicky - thank you, I'll have a look
