Cut with a saw, and use Velcro!

Your cage has inspired me, I'm going to add another full level shelf on the first floor like yours and get one of those metal wheels to attach up from the floor for more floor space - as oppose to a free standing one 👍🏻
Thanks for showing me your cage 😁

I've got some from a friend who cut down his apple tree, and the others from Zooplus.

I have a park at the bottom of my street so I go out for a look every week or so to see what has fallen

Looks excellent! So happy everything has settled. Sods law you'll cover the cage with a blanket, property manager will do his inspection, and they'll start barking!

It's wonderful!! TONS of room in there and no wonder they love it. Don't worry about filling it up. They will love the space, and if it gets too busy in the cage, they tend to be less happy.

That looks pretty amazing! Do you think you could put in a full/complete level in the bottom section to add more surface space for living on? Are you OK with DIY?

The cage did originally have a shelf in the bottom, but it was removed as it wasn't used much. My boys are very much climbers and seem happier with the bottom level like a jungle gym

We have just got our first degu Duke,Cobalt and Dodger today (there's some pictures of them on the Degu Pics board). They seem to like their new cage. My husband added a series of wooden shelves that go round the top half. They have been having great fun running round the shelves and through the hammock and tubes. Less running ledges at the bottom cause we don't want to put any too near the wheel it's a 14" tic tac wheel - they can just about all run together. We added an external hay rack and turn around feeding bowls so if we go away people can feed them without having to go into the cage. They've got their chewed up wooden house from their previous home (rodent rescue centre) in the bottom right corner which you can't quite see. I wanted to add more things but then it began to look a bit crowded so I have shown some restraint with a plan to add/change some things in a bit... I've already planned a couple of new ledges poor husband!

Got carried away last week, and the reason I missed my flight to Portugal.......... The left hand section is 81x31 with three stories , and the upper section is 81x93 with two floors. Each door is on piano hinges, and so easy to access (with steps. The top section has LED strips switched on during the day, and they only have the flying saucer now, but they seem to LOVE it. Quite proud, venue though I need to make amendments to the doorframe on the left section and finish the lower doors on that side
