Awww, you have no idea how tempted I am to have Chinchilla, but since I've just rehomed my Guinea Pig and my other half is difficult when it comes to new pets, I've decided it's best to stick with just keeping Degus. I really want to try to put one or two more in with Stefan and Damon because I think they'll will accept them if they're babies (and my other half probably won't notice til it's too late and they're already in there! lol). I know Sammy and Dean wouldn't accept anymore though! lol.

I thought I would share a picture of my girls' cage. I have some more stuff on the way for them so I can change and rearrange it. It's hard to see in the picture but they do have a water bottle! It took them a few days to work out what the wheel was for but once they got the hang of it they love it. It takes some co-operation but sometimes all four of them run in the wheel together which is quite a sight to see. I have three different places they can get hay - they have a hay cookie in the willow basket, loose timothy hay in the pot at the bottom and a ring of meadow hay hanging in the middle of the cage. I have put a litter tray at the top near their (temporary) nest box as the first thing they do when they get up is wee so hopefully that will help. I have ordered a Leif play house which may not be big enough when they are fully grown but will be great while they're little. I'm also going to add some hammocks between levels incase they fall.

what a brilliant set up! When you getting you goo's xx Cage is now finished and furnished We have 3 female degus, all different ages from 2 months to 8 months old, previously they lived in 60cm x 80 cm cage, but now our new cage is 150 cm height, 100 cm width and 60 cm deep, so lots of room from now on Only one of our little devils is seen here at the bottom left corner of the cage. The upper level is not visible (you can see the bottom of the level slightly), as it was intentionally left behind front cover of the upper half of the cage, so that they can relax a bit and not see us for a while, if they don't want to Upper part of the cage is covered with mesh, so at least we can have a peek what they are doing there, but we have to be on our toes to accomplish that

The cage can be found at justcage.co.uk, theonlinepetstore.co.uk and this ebay seller. I brought it off of the ebay seller (They're brand new) but I did originally buy it from theonlinepetstore but I was having some issues with them and I got refunded. The white boards attached to the outside are made from PVC White Rock My dad managed to get some at a Building trades shop. ~ Lovely cage btw, looks brilliant! All that hard work seems to have paid off!
