Ok so I got little Colin from P@H about 5 weeks ago now. He's a lovely chap, friendly and lets me tickle him, though doesn't like being picked up yet. At the moment he's in a cage directly next to Schnitty and Nooey's cage, so they can sit at the same level and interact, smell each other etc. It's been this set up from day one. We left them like that for a couple of weeks then tried introductions....
First we tried Schnitzel with Colin (using same sand bath first etc.). We put them in the bath together and they were fine, just chased each other round a bit, so we then let them both run about on the bathroom floor. Again, no major problems, just Schitzel kept chasing Colin so he kept squawking at him to leave him alone hehe. No fisticuffs though! Colin acted really submissive with him too, closing his eyes, kind of lying down etc.
The problem started when we tried Colin and Noodle together. Colin tried to hump Noodle and he didn't like it one bit so fought back. Lots of squawks, fighting, fur lost (but no injuries, phew). They had a few squirts of water then we thought enough is enough! We've tried them both together since and the same thing has happened.
Do you think we should try all three together or would that make it worse? Or just keep trying both seperately? I really want them all to be happy together!!

Keep doing what you are doing. introducing 2 to 1 can be daunting, just keep at it, they will fight and stuff, its just sorting out who is boss. You seem to be doing well so far just continue doing what ye are doing!

Ok, thanks Yeah I thought 2 on 1 would be a bit scary for little Colin. I know it takes time, I just want them in a big goo pile already haha

Sooo, after a couple of months Colin and Schnitzel seem to be getting on fine, they've been out for an hour together today and just had a few little squeaks, and looked like they were even grooming each other! Colin started to copy what Schnitzel did like when he climbed up my leg over and over again which was very cute! Also, Colin sat on my hand and let me put him on the floor - a first! The problem seems to be Colin and Noodle, they just don't like each other *sigh* I guess it will just take time. Unfortunately I haven't had lots of time to spend with them together but I'll be starting Uni again soon so should have more time on my hands then

I'm glad that you are seeing some good things. What if Max and Noodle get on like a house on fire, and Colin and Schnitzel are good and tight, but the four are no go? Noodle being the source of discontent? Would you neuter Noodle to see if that would help?

Oo I didn't think of that deguconvert. I don't know whether I would want to risk neutering Noodle. That is something to think about though. He does seem to be the little angry one hehe.
