Hi,
Does anyone know the pros and cons of introducing a group of neutered males to a group of females. Is it even possible? Would the males fight over the females? Would it cause the males to fall out? Is it best to stick to single sex groups?
Sorry about the questions but I am looking to further expand my family in a few months or so (through adoption) and just want to know my options. I have looked in this forum, others and on degutopia but havn't quite seen an answer to my questions. If anyone has any experience or thoughts it'd be great to hear them.......
I guess I am lookign to see whether I should only introduce males to my group or if I see a pair of lonely females somewhere I can adopt them instead?

Personally, if I were you, I would go for the females. The males are free of testosterone now, so the fierce drive to mate and compete over them will be gone. Females tend to introduce easier, too. So I think that course is your best bet altogether!

That's good to know.......
There's a couple of older lady goos in Burford not too far from where I live so I could go give them a good home. Looks like they've been there for a while too.....
Just want to make sure that even my neutered boys won't start a fight over females if i introduce them......

It would be wonderful if you could take those two older ladies. I'm sure we're not the only ones who keep checking in on them and I do worry that as they're older they won't get many people interested in them. I would love to take in all the older goos I find and give them a comfortable retirement but I haven't got the room (or time). Please let us all know if you do manage to accommodate the two schu's.

Well I went to go get them yesterday and it turns out that they had already gone on Friday. Good news, so i'll just keep my eyes peeled for any new rescues in the area
