I've been picking up my degu babies from when they were a week old, there now just over two weeks.i know this might sound obvious but will this make them more friendly ? anyone had babies that they've kept and handled since birth noticed a difference from ones that you have bought.

Never had babies here, and never will with the confirmed males we have. But I have heard from several members whose goos have had babies, that the babies that have been handled often and gently since birth are very friendly. Sometimes remarkably more so than their parents who were bought.

when i got my boys, they said that the more you handle them the more friendly and tame they become as they get used to you and arent afraid so yeah id say it a good thing.
and i guess coz you've had the since they were born will prob be more friendly then the goos that have been brought as the babies will have been round humans since they were born and the goos bought may not of x

The 2 new babies I got seem to be much more tame in comparison to my original pair. I know the owner said she'd been handling them a lot so I think yeah handling them makes them tame pretty quickly I noticed the difference.
