Hi, I currently have two boy degus and I am looking to get a Chinchilla, but I am not sure how to go about having them in the same cage. I would like for them to be ok with each other and live together like I have seen at Pets at home.
Can someone please advise me on this situation. As I would like some info soon.
Cheers :-)

I'd personally not keep them in the same cage but I have heard it is possible. Chinchillas are a lot of work and need a lot of time if you have 2 degus already you might want to make sure you have the time to also care for a chinchilla.

It is possible I have one male degu and one male chinchillia together in the same cage. At first i just left them both run around in a room together for a hour or so then separate them. I did that for a couple days then put them in the same cage. they argue at treat time but besides that they are ok. They both sleep togeher and everything.

Hey Thanks for letting me know ur opinions on this. I think it could be possible but I might wait till I have more time to train them etc.
Thanks for the help. :-)

Yes it is very possible . (from experience) I wouldn't advice keeping degus and chinchillas together for loads of different reasons what I have written in previous threads.
