at long last ( i mean long last) i have held one of my degu out of the cage! my degus are taking a long time to become tame but i think i have the patience i am taking it one step at a time and it is slowly but surley working. i am really pleased and i rewarded the degu with a peanut and then Tipsy stole it so i had to give all three one each ! :oGREEDY! but i have put another apple branch in there cage and the love chewing it! and they walk along it to come and see me lol fiona

That's wonderful news! I does take a lot of patience and love. It's hard to not get excited when you see them finally having trust in you. ;D Congratulations!

yeah, good job!
Only one of my guys likes being hanled, and that's precious little Tori. the others are older and only want food out of me. they were rescues. as well as Tori, but tori was probably a little over a year, i think. so, he was easier to tame. he curls up in my housecoat while i walk around the house, as wella s grooms me, etc.
have fun!

Congratulations! It's great that they're trusting you. My guys still don't like to be handled. They'll climb all over me, but they don't want me to pick them up.
