Congratulations! It's great when they start getting curious towards you and no longer fleeing for their lives whenever you enter the room. I've had my Degus 3 weeks today and am experiencing the same thing. If I open the cage to put food in or give them something (like I gave them the end of a toilet roll last night as they enjoy dragging it about) they kept climing up the half open door (even the shy one) and trying to come out and play. It feels really rewarding. Would love to see a picture of your Degus once they're out and about. Mine are 10 weeks old today!

Hopefully this will help: -Load the photos onto your PC from your camera. -Go to a website such as www.imageshack.us/ and upload it there (it's free.) -Post it on the forum using BBCode like this: [img] image URL here [/img] Hope you took photos of their first time out and about for us to see!

I know what you mean about enjoying the goos as much as the kids. I often refer to our goos as "my" goos, and then have to correct myself. (Especially now that my daughter comes onto the forum to read things over all the time now. LOL! She might give my knuckles a rap for that.)

lol thats soo sweet my two have found a great play area - my trouser leg. I sit on the floor with them when they are out for thier run around and yesterday i had my scruffy sweats on and they were up and down the trouser leg! it was very funny although i did end up with lots of scratches on my leg
