well i got my two degus last night as one of goos died the other week leaveing tigger on his own. i put them in my spare cage and when off to cook dinner, my other half throught it would be a good ideal to put one of the new goos in with tigger (my first goo) well as you can guess they fought wasnt to bad but i got the new goo out (well i throught it was the new goo)
then i put him bk in the spare cage with my other new goo. (they are a bonded pair)
but they had a fight (really bad one) so i put i hand in to get one out and got bite badly.
now i have all three in different cages i think want happen is that i got tigger out of the cage after the first fight thinking it was one of my new goos. (i messed up and feel so bad). i cross with my oh for putting one of the new goos in tiggers cage either tho i told him not too. i think i have worked out which two are the new goos and who is tigger but i scared of putting the bonded pair bk together in case iv still got it wrong.
questions 1.could the bonded pair started fighting like that because of my oh putting one of them in with tigger
2. should i try and putting the ones i think are the bonded pair bk together or leave them for a week and try and re bond all three.
3. what is the best way to stop fights.
please help

The one you tried to introduce...you might have picked the right one, it could have been that he would was still hyped up with aggression from fighting with tigger and he was focusing that energy on his friend instead.
Try to get the bonded pair back together first.
Best ways to stop fights... firstly never introduce in cages, it becomes a fight about territory more than any thing else. Always do it in a neutal place.. many use the bath tub.
To stop fighting goos some people blow but if it doesn't work have a spray bottle next to you so you can gently spray them with water. It should divert attention immediatly as they feel the urge to clean themselves. But only a light spray.
