introducing muffin and biscuit

hello there im new here (as you might of guessed ) me and my wife have recently adopted two degus called muffin and biscuit from petsathome after some young girl brought them back because they made too much noise while she was sleepin (some people make me really angry ) ill add pictures of the pair later. does anyone have any website spefic for degu toys so far what weve learnt is whats toy safe for chinchillas and parrots should be ok for degus is this a safe presumsion. also since weve got them there nails have become really sharp is there anything we can do

You could look online . . . there are some toys that have a roughended surface that will help to smooth out their nails as they run over them. What you could do on your own it purchase a safe piece of wood, ie oak, aspen, apple, pear, hazel, and then fasten some sand paper to it. Best to not use glue, and probably should be a fine sand paper verses a more coarse one, but if it is in a location they walk over often enough it will work to take the sharp point off their nail tips.

Most chin and parrot toys are safe, and there are lots of sites that have great stuff. I'll have a look back in some of the other threads around the forum here and see what I can find.
