hi. i just got the 3 goos about a month ago. they're pretty good with the litter training; especailly with peeing. i was just wondering what everyone uses for litter. i tried corn and they ate it; no good. now i'm using a hamster litter that works good but only comes in tiny boxes that last me a week. i was contemplating paper litters or pine (although i'm worried about them eating that too). any tips?

I remember reading that Degus usually go to the bathroom in one place mainly anyway even without a litter tray however sawdust is pretty absorbant. If you use paper of some sort don't use newspaper. I also heard some people use a sandbath as a litter tray (maybe one can be in there as a toilet and the other can be put in for them cleaning themselves ? Not sure if that would confuse them though.) (The degu section is here: Link. - This is the area for chinchillas.)
