Did you read through the outline guide to introducing new degus? It is the first posting on this board. If you have, and you still have questions, I do apologise! I will definitely try to give you a hand with your questions if you still feel uncertain about what you have read.

Just to give you a heads up, so you are knowing what will likely come along. When your newest goo is getting close to sexual maturity, about 5-6 months of age, he will feel that he needs to challenge the hierarchy of the group, and sue to become top goo. So that means he will start challenging your dominant goo. There will be boxing, and cursing, and it very likely will escalate to furious chasing around the cage, and maybe kung foo fighting. If you see them rolling in a ball, you must separate them. They will be severely biting each other and may cause serious injury or death. Don't give up on keeping them together yet, but it can take 2-4 months for them to figure this out. Ours had to be separated for a couple of months on and off, lots of off, until they finally settled it all. It's just part of the testosterone.
