its the same with my 2 little squirt is tiny and big boy is huge , i got them from my niece a couple of months ago she bought them from some chinese people off the internet they were 5 months old when she got them and she had them for a month so they should be about 8 months old but im not sure they seem older to me the reason i have doubts is cause my niece said their was lots of cages and bits there and she also said the picture looked different of the chins on the internet so it does make you think, makes me wonder if they are the same age as each other due to size just wish i knew their proper age if they are not really 8 months old

What sweeties!! George looks like a giant fur covered marshmallow!! Are his eyes really the color of bright cherries? I have a question . . . when I was looking at some chins online, a couple of them almost looked like they had purple eyes. They were darker in color fur wise. Can they have purple or deep blue eyes? Or is it more likely just the way the light from the flash is reflecting on their eyes?

Yeah from what I have read chinchilla eye colours are different from chin to chin.
Example:: a beige chinchilla eyes red (George) to a silver which should be green/blue. So yeah you probably did see someone lovely coloured eyed chins
Yeah I think that pic is something to to with camera/flash. George has dark red eyes but when they are reflected from natural sunlight/lights looks a lovely bright red colour.
I did put the pics up for everyone but thought titling it at that would get Jules attention.

is it easy to get urs back into the cage? mine is a cheeky wee beggar - and his cage is on a stage so its a case of recapture rather than let him climb bk in!

I never have any problems getting them back in the cage. When they start to get bored they start to climb up the cage so just pick them up pop them back in the cage.

Aww thank you for the pics Jack - sorry I have not been in touch - we have had some personal problems here - my partner Bob, you met him when we dropped off the chins and degus has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and now requires full time care here - so for the last 6 weeks it has been rather hectic.
I am so pleased to see George and Georgie - my daughter will be chuffed to see up to date pics too.
Thank you for giving them such a lovely home
Jules
