hi not sure where to post an intro so i'll say hi here ;D and ask a few questions if i may? 1. i'm getting the degu food from zooplus re: deguworld.proboards31.com/index.cgi?board=links&action=display&thread=1143485218tho not sure about it as this will be my first pair of degus (can't wait ;D) do i need to add extra vitamin c and also its not ideal as its online and takes time to deliver 2. what things do you give them to enrich thier day e.g toys? 3. theres a chinchilla pellet called Science Selective could i use that with something extra added? all i can find about it is www.russelrabbit.com/science_selective_chinchilla.phpi have a tall chinchilla cage which i hope will be ok till i can get them a bigger cage. its 24" wide x 18" deep x 59" tall is this ok?

I only wish I could buy the Zooplus products here in the US at a reasonable rate. That seems to be one of the very best.
I feed my girls guinea pig biscuits that have added vitamin C. No sugars.
Your cage sounds just fine. Degus do like to climb so the 59" high is good.
Toys- well dried branches from my apple trees, sea shells, an emptied coconut shell, wooden chew blocks from the pet store, wooden parrot toys, "chubes" the cardboard tubes again bought through the pet store (paper towel rolls and other cardboard tubes may have unacceptable glues), wooden cloths pins (forget what you call them in the UK we had that discussion early this fall!), a couple of large limestone rocks for them to hide behind and hide things in and around.
