i was wondering i have read though the previous threads and it says sunflower seeds are a good treat for degus if not given to often but when i have looked about for them i can only find black ( non salted ) ones. Are these just as good as the stripy ones ?

Yes, in fact my Degus prefer the black sunflower seeds. You do want the unsalted ones.

No more than six per Degu in any given day - they are high in fat. Mine usually get sunflower and or pumpkin seeds a couple of times a week. I have guinea pig biscuits that I give to them each day morning and evening as a treat.
