;D heyy i have just got another food bowl due to my degus fighting over "King of the Bowl" Im not exacly sure how much food to give to them, but at the moment I give them (two girls) 2 tablespoons of Guinea pig pellets each (in seperate bowls) Fresh hay everyday And the ocasional treat like carrot or lettuce (most days) Does this sound ok?? I give the pellets late morning and the hay whenever...

For my 5, I fill their pellet bowls right up and don't refill it again until it empties. I know they store their food, but *ahem* I'm too paranoid that they're going to go hungry if they don't always have food in their bowl, but I do make sure they have timothy hay 24/7 also.
I would think when it comes to the main diet, risking giving too much is better than risking giving too little

Yeah their food bowl is always full, I just top up their bowl when it's getting low but mine also don't hoard their pellets because (I think) they always have a fresh supply of it in their. treats are a different story though. I hand them out and they bury them and come back for more pretending I missed them.
