I think they're all too small for degus, except the last one I think would be alright for 2 Degus, but you would have to cover all the wire floors with something such as ceramic tile; Wire floors can give degus a painful condition called bumblefoot. ---The dog crate, if you put in another level or two would probably be okay as well, although i really think degus could *easily* just walk right through those bars.

WOW skye that's a great cage. Since I'm in the running for a new cage, it's dissapointing that one is a pick-up only

It is getting there. I do like the flat bottom and higher sides. My only wish is that it were a little bigger. Once you put in a wheel, nest box, toys, etc. it could get a little cramped. My other thought is whether or not you can separate the metal bottom to clean it.

ok i think im just gonna make my own cage. would 24"x24"x36" be ok? with 3 levels.
