Is starting to handle the babies!! Won't be long now!! I got a 55 gallon tank for my little babies. I will turn it into a degu playhouse!!! I can't wait!!! Can anyone give me ideas on what to put into their house so they feel as comfortable as possible? Any suggestions will be appreciated!!

Hi there, I have a hammock in my cage and lots of shelves for them to jump around on. I also have a wheel which recently I had to modify because I bought a wheel with the metal rungs on it and one of my degus tails kept getting caught and bleeding. . So try and stick with a solid wheel. I grabbed a couple of tree branches(anything from a fruit tree is good) and put them in the cage. Alot of people do the "chubes" that you can buy at any pet store, or if you can find an equivalent that's cheaper than power to ya! I hope that gives you some ideas, oh and don't forget they need somewhere to nest. A little shoe box or a wooden box(untreated of course) Have fun with it and be creative!! Hopefully you can post some pictures of your tank soon and we can all see what a great job you do with it. ;D

Its important you do find a solid wheel that little heads and tails cant get trapped in!
