I have three girls, two of which I'm fairly sure are pregnant. I think they are going to pop soon so I'm filling up on information.
How does one go about cleaning a cage full of babies? With five, we clean one cage while they're in another cage, switch, and clean up the small mess they made in the extra cage. But what with babies? Transfer the babies with their parents?

Yes, keep the babies with the parents. When mine had pups i took the nest box they were born in and put them in cardboard box and put them on the table so the adults could get in and out of the box but the babys couldnt get out. If your transfering all the degus into another cage put the new brood in with them so the babys dont get scared and the parents dont get stressed to where their babys are.
Congrats on becoming a "grandma" and good luck with all those bundles of joy!
