Hello,
I'm back after a year of not being active, my degus have been well except Marshmallow. Today he was fine, but just now i've noticed blood and his back left leg (looking from tail side) and he's limping, struggling to stand straight, he seems in pain. The leg is swollen a lot and is very bloody. They have gotten into a fight with Hugo today, but i don't think a bite could have caused such swelling. I don't know if the vet is available but if it's urgent, we can go to an 24/7 vet clinic, but i don't know how to pick him up.
Any advice is very appreciated, i can try to take a pic but it's gonna be a bit hard.

I would recommend a vet visit if there is a lot of swelling as blood supply to the leg can be compromised by swelling. It will be helpful to know if it is a bite or a leg break or strain or tendon injury or whatever.
You can try picking him up using a tube or maybe a shoebox with a hole in so he is tempted to go inside.

Ditto Molette.
You do really need to know what kind of injury it is. If you can catch Marshmallow, try and find where the bleeding is coming from. If it won't stop, use cornflour. It'll help the wound to clot.
Do you still have any Metacam?

Sorry for the late reply, but we went to the vet, turns out it was a thread wrapped around his leg so tight, that it cut off the blood circulation; the vet gave us pain meds and antibiotics, and gave us a 5050 chance of recovering it or amputating it. He's still a bit limping, but we are taking him to a vet this week again. Tho i do have a question, can degus survive without a leg? He isn't much of a climber but he doesn't have the best balance...

They usually adapt to a leg amputation pretty well. Is there some infection or is the problem damage from the lack of blood supply?

I've had two with amputated back legs. One was due to the degu equivalent of MRSA, and one was the more likely outcome following a break.
They manage just fine. The most recent is the Tarzan of the pair, clambering everywhere, and is currently running in the wheel with his brother!
