I will be getting a pair of degu soon and right now I'm setting up the cage and getting everything ready for them but the cage has a wire floor and looking for advice on what to put down as flooring to prevent bumblefoot.
It's a big 2 - story chinchilla cage with ramps and ledges

Welcome to the forum.
You could cover the wire floor with a piece of wood covered with adhesive vinyl floor tiles. Then cover this with substrate. I wouldn't recommend using just wood as it will start to smell when it gets soaked with urine. The vinyl will be easy to clean. Just makes use its a close fit to the edge so they can't chew the tiles.
If you are using it on a level with a gap, then you will need to use either a wooden or metal edge around the hole.
If you can post a picture of your cage we may be able to make recommendations on layout etc.

Ceramic tiles work well, if you're going to cover them with substrate. If you need to cut them to get a good fit, make sure you file down the edges!
Furniture (laminated) chipboard works well too. You can put metal edging around the sides so they can't chew it, and the laminate makes it easy to keep clean.
